Detailed Information

I am a poet, writer, creative, meditator, and yogi and have been taught and worked with a few modalities that have the most sustainable results with continued practice. These have been supportive tools but also ways I’ve gotten to connect with people and support them to heal, find and create joy, remember the purpose, and learn how to be present.

Certifications:

300hr Tibetan Buddhist Meditation and continued philosophy (Three Jewels & Asian Classics Institute), 30-hour Yoga Nidra (Shiva Shakti School of Yoga), 50 Hour Restorative and Yin Yoga, 200-hour Ayurvedic Hatha Yoga (Yoga and Ayurveda

Center)

Yoga:

The practice of yoga (union in Sanskrit) is to align the physical body with the mind. Consistent practice brings a state of balance and creates openness from excess or dormant energies within the body. Restorative and yin practices are slower practices that ask us to take time to connect with the body and go a bit deeper while the asana poses invite healing.

Group session (9 max)

Meditation:

Meditation builds a muscle of active engagement of the mind with the intention of freedom from suffering of the mind and physical afflictions. The benefits are self-awareness which creates the path for change. I will guide you in the preparation of

posture, a practice of the inner guide to connect to your purpose, and offer journaling prompts to support the integration.

Group session (3-9 max) or Individual (with guidance on intention setting)

Yoga Nidra:

Yoga Nidra is the state of deep physical relaxation with conscious awareness and is also known as yogic sleep meditation. While relaxation may appear to be the goal, it

is a benefit of the practice. The power of the practice is that in the state of conscious awareness, the practitioner can invoke or reinforce a state of change they desire. Over time this can result in the awareness and release of dormant traumas or states of mind causing emotional or physical blocks. This practice has been proved to “harmonize the deeper unconscious” (Yoga Nidra – Unaltered State of Consciousness Swami Mangalteertham a.k.a Dr. A.K. Ghosh)

I will prepare you for the practice in light movement practices, pranayama (breathing technique), guide you into deep relaxation and support you in setting an intention that is key to entering Yoga Nidra for therapeutic application.
